Quran is the last book of Allah and it is the most sacred book for Muslims of the whole world. Being a Muslim, it is our duty to read the Holy Quran on daily basis. 1)     Status will be raised

First of all the biggest benefit of the Holy Quran for Muslims is the reward of reading. They are multiple other benefits however rewards carry a lot of importance for Muslims. We believe in the afterlife and rewards are the only things that can make us successful.

How beautiful is it that our Prophet (s) related the rank of status by one's closeness to the Qur'an. This shows how prestige the Qur'an is. In fact, even in the next life, the more Qur'an one had memorised in this life, the higher the place in Jannah they will be given.

“It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: Read and elevate (through the levels of the Paradise) and beautify your voice as you used to do when you were in the dunyaa! For verily, your position in the Paradise will be at the last verse you recite!” (Abu Dawood)

2)     Quran as Our Advocate

Quran doesn’t only provide a solution to all of our problems but it will be very beneficial for us when we die. It is the saying of Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W), “Read the Quran, for verily it will come on the Day of Judgement as an intercessor for its companions.” (Sahih Muslim)

This Hadith of the Holy prophet (S.A.W.W) tells us that on the Day of Judgement, Holy Quran will be our advocate that will help us in going to Jannah. This verse of the Holy Quran describes the solution to depression by telling us that the solace of heart lies in the remembrance of Allah.

Allah has mentioned the solutions to all the problems in his nobel book. Holy Quran deals with each and every aspect of our lives and that is why we can find the solution of every problem in the Holy Quran. 5)     Ten Rewards for Each Letter

Reading the Holy Quran gives a lot of benefits, one of them is that ten good deeds are added in your name. These can be hundreds of letters in each verse of the Holy Quran which means that you get unlimited amount of reward on reading the verses of Holy Quran. 

The Prophet (SAW) said alif-ا laam- ل‎  and meem-م is not one letter, rather Alif is one letter, laam is one letter, and meem is one letter. So for reciting alif-ا laam-ل‎  meem-م alone, you will have 30 rewards! Imagine reciting an entire chapter! How many rewards will that be?

The Prophet (SAW) said an expert with Qur’an will be with a noble righteous scribe (the angels). And he who struggle while reciting finding it difficult has double rewards. Either way, you are gainer!

6)     Serenity of Heart

Nowadays, everyone is suffering from depression, anxiety and restlessness. There is a large number of people who are victims of depression. It is because they are not reading the Quran. Reading the Quran is not like reading an ordinary book. It is a divine book that gives an incomparable calmness to the heart of a person.

Allah (SWT) says “verily with the remembrance of Allah, do heart find peace” Quran (13:28)

7)     Source Of Forgiveness

The prophet(SAW) said read the Qur’an, for indeed the Qur’an will come on judgement day and be an intercessor to its companions. So who are the companions of the Qur’an? Those that are devoted to the Qur’an. Those that always recite Qur’an day in day out.

“And We sent down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) nothing but loss” [Quran Al-Isra’ 17:82]
