10 Tips to maintain spiritual Productivity post-Ramadan

10 Tips to maintain spiritual Productivity post-Ramadan

Ramadan is the month of spiritual blessings but after Ramadan sometimes people feel empty or they don’t maintain the momentum of spiritually blessing so there are some tips for them to maintain their inner peace.

1 Praying on time: Spent some time in Mosque:

Prayer is the soul of religion. Where there is no prayer, there can be no purification of the soul. The non-praying man is rightly considered to be a soulless man so if someone wanted to be spiritually full he/she must say their prayer on time. In every prayer, he/she gets the chance to meet Allah.

It is a pillar of Islam and something that we should all be doing; so even if it’s a challenge, we should do it in Ramadan as well as year-round.

Some people benefit from having a buddy system where they are accountable to a close friend or family member, so this might help if praying all five times is something you struggle with.

2 Treat every month as Ramadan:

The benefits of fasting regularly are applicable throughout the year, not only during Ramadan. The act of fasting for spiritual prowess makes us more conscious, not just of food habits but of how we think, behaves and interacts throughout the day.

One can fast twice a week to maintain his spiritual momentum.

3 Give generously/ Give charity:

Many people give the most charity during this month since the rewards are multiplied. But charity is something that we’re encouraged to give all the time, even if we don’t have much to give. By helping needy souls one can get spiritual satisfaction. For those who can afford it, monetary donations are always needed all year round for many worth and need causes. For others, voluntary service or kind acts go a long way.

4 Dhikr/ Remembrance of Allah:

During Ramadan, people do dhikr (remembrance of Allah) most of the time and purified themselves so people should continue that beautiful habit. So they can be blessed throughout the year.

5 Ask Allah for Forgiveness:

People should ask Allah for forgiveness throughout the year as Allah the most merciful. If someone asks Allah for forgiveness he became hopeful as his heart feels inner peace and spiritual satisfaction.

One should ask Allah for forgiveness all the time so one can be purified. ask Allah for forgiveness during either you working or sleeping.

6 Keep good company:

Your friends can either bring you closer to Allah (SWT) or draw you away from Him. There is no in-between.

This is why the Prophet (saw) said,

الرَّجُلُ عَلَى دِينِ خَلِيلِهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ أَحَدُكُمْ مَنْ يُخَالِلُ

“A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend.”

[Sunan Abi Dawud]

Keeping company with the righteous is one of the best ways to abstain from sins and lead a life of obedience to Allah (SWT).

7 Do small deeds with consistency:

The Prophet (saw) said:

“Take on only as much as you can do of good deeds, for the best of deeds is that which is done consistently, even if it is little.”

[Sunan Ibn Majah]

8 Read Quran regularly/Take time to understand the Qur’an:

“Fasting and the Qur’an will intercede for a person on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say: O Lord, I kept him from his food and desires during the day; let me intercede for him. And the Qur’an will say: I kept him from sleeping during the night; let me intercede for him. And they will be allowed to intercede.”

[Musnad Ahmad]

One should set his time to read and understand Quran and try to take guidance from it.

9 Enjoying the Nature:

Spending time in nature is a great way to keep the remembrance of God at the heart of our spiritual practice throughout the year. The perfect balance of nature is described superbly in the Quran, which teaches that by watching, reflecting on, and understanding nature, we can gain certainty of God’s signs and be receptive to His message to humanity. Allah gives us more than we realize, even when life doesn’t seem to be going so great, so we should try to express our gratitude more.

10 Don’t let Evil/Satin undermine you:

During the month of Ramadan, most of the rebellious satan/shaitan becomes imprisoned but after Ramadan they became free so they try their best to misguide the people but we must understand and try our best to be protected by remembering Allah.

These are only 10 spiritual practices and good deeds that we can keep up after Ramadan; but hopefully they will allow us to benefit from the special month throughout the year.
